Honest hickory. Built to work.

Workhorse is Everflame’s value-priced hickory drumstick line. In broad retail positioning, it sits in a similar value category to Vic Firth Nova, ProMark LA Special, and Vater Goodwood. These are category comparisons, not claims that the models have identical specifications.

Workhorse is made from sticks rejected during Legacy and Legacy Lite selection. Each dowel is visually hand-sorted for grain structure and imperfections, then weight-sorted before machining. After profiling on the lathe, each stick is hand-loaded and handled one at a time from station to station for slow, smooth, consistent processing. At the end, every stick is again hand- and visually inspected; that final inspection helps us sort sticks for Workhorse.

All Everflame drumsticks use oval wood tips only, chosen for maximum durability and the widest tonal capabilities across drums and cymbals. We do not offer nylon tips. Workhorse keeps a thick neck and medium-long taper, and pairs are not matched for weight, tone, or grain like Legacy pairs.
